You choose an aim, take a small action, and observe what happens. The result gives you information your internal debate could not produce. You update. That is not a lesser form of intelligence. It is how intelligence becomes calibrated.
The useful replacement
Replace “What is the right path?” with “What is the smallest action that would teach me something?” This does not remove uncertainty. It puts uncertainty to work.
